Our Approach

The relocation for this trade association presented an opportunity to move away from a darker, enclosed environment and create a brighter, more open workplace that better supports their forward-thinking, community-driven mission. The design is rooted in the association’s deep local connections, inspiring a “storefront” concept at the front of house, where conference rooms are expressed as neighboring facades along a main street. Natural light from the building’s atrium enhances this welcoming environment, while original Art Deco elements are incorporated throughout to honor the building’s history as the former Greyhound Bus Terminal. The overall layout emphasizes openness and functionality, with a large multifunctional area near reception that supports day-to-day collaboration, member events, and all-hands meetings. Thoughtful attention to lighting, acoustics, materials, and biophilic elements creates a calm, comfortable environment that supports focus, collaboration, and well-being. Together, these features establish a balanced, adaptable workplace that reflects the organization’s commitment to helping local commerce and community members thrive.
