Our Approach

When Children’s Law Center, the District’s largest non-profit legal provider focused exclusively on children, enlisted sshape to design its Washington, DC headquarters, the goal was a dual-purpose environment for staff, clients, and guests. The design balances professional legal advocacy with a playful aesthetic reflecting the firm's mission. Vibrant color accents, custom conference rooms, a LEGO wall, and curated children’s bookshelves anchor the layout. The pantry serves as a community hub, complete with an oversized Scrabble board, a local DC artist’s mural, and custom millwork. Supporting a modern hybrid workforce, amenities include a quiet library, wellness room, unisex restrooms, and specialized employee storage.
