Project Architect/Senior Architect

sshape is an interior architecture and design firm specializing in workplace design. Our studio atmosphere encourages creative thinking and collaboration. We provide our clients with a personalized, team approach to design that gives them unique solutions that enhance their environments. We want team members who think creatively and are ready to immerse themselves in a full project experience. If you are a self-starter, creative, and love design, we may be your new work family!

  • Minimum 6 years experience in base building commercial architecture with interest in interior architecture
  • The ability to design and detail completed building assemblies
  • Experience in all phases of design including schematic through construction administration
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills with consultants and clients
  • Creative problem solver
  • Licensure is not a requirement
  • Revit proficiency is required
  • Skills in sketching and hand drawing are also a plus

Fall 2020 Intern

The role of the intern is growing and changing; From working with architects to designers to our business development team, the range of potential tasks the position offers is wide and flexible to interests. The ideal candidate isn’t necessarily an aspiring designer!

Several learning opportunities exist for the intern interested in architecture and the trades importantly tied to the profession: Interns, should they like, may attend regular lunch-and-learns with product representatives, visit job sites, sit in on weekly agenda meetings and participate in Wednesday company-wide learning sessions.

Overall Responsibility:

The Intern will work with sshape on creating and refining marketing materials and digital strategy, in addition to assigned design projects and initiatives and carry out simple administrative and organizational tasks.
