Our Approach

The Auto Care Association’s new headquarters at 2 Bethesda Metro Center marks a strategic evolution from a traditional, segmented office model to a high-end collaborative hub. sshape’s design transformed the 8,000 SF footprint into an efficient, open-concept floor plan prioritizing natural light and internal visibility. Specialized spaces further enhance the environment, including a dedicated podcast/videocast studio, inclusive wellness room, and ergonomic furniture throughout. The design further represents the car and truck industry through intentional details, such as 1956 Nash parts and workshop-inspired pegboard millwork. These elements are complemented by 'racetrack' lighting, which provides a thematic continuity and intuitive wayfinding throughout the suite.
