Our Approach

sshape's design for the National Association of Independent Schools' (NAIS) headquarters transforms the top floor space into a dynamic and welcoming hub. The new office, boasting direct views of the Washington Monument, aims to enhance employee engagement, creativity, and overall well-being. Recognizing the diverse work styles of their staff, sshape incorporated a variety of workspaces. This includes focused nooks for individual tasks, collaborative areas ideal for brainstorming and teamwork, and a flexible event space bathed in natural light – perfect for hosting conferences and gatherings. Further reflecting NAIS's commitment to fostering a vibrant educational community, the organization partnered with local member schools. This collaboration resulted in the incorporation of student artwork throughout the office. The displayed pieces, adorning walls and shelves, showcase the talent of young artists within the surrounding community.
