Ntrepid, a self-described “unconventional technology company,” turned to sshape for a full-floor buildout of it’s Herndon, Virginia headquarters. This was no standard office design project. Due to nTrepid’s work supporting consumer privacy, cyber and national security, data science, knowledge management and visualization, sshape’s design strategy needed to accommodate high-security requirements, including use of facial recognition technology and a robust signage package. The 23,000-square-foot space ultimately included a high-tech mobile command center designed to aid disaster response, as well as futureforward research areas that incorporate extensive glass for maximum visibility and collaboration. Using innovative architectural design, as well as custom signage and graphics, sshape created a space that ties Ntrepid’s physical environment to its core mission and role in defense, security, and privacy protection.
